Description

He Shou Wu (also known by its Chinese name Fo-Ti) is one of the most popular and valued herbs in traditional Chinese medicine (often abbreviated to TCM). It is the prepared root of the plant Polygonum multiflorum, which is considered a Jing (essence) tonic. Producer Dragon Herbs uses for this product only naturally grown roots, which are prepared in the correct way. No chemicals are used during the cultivation and production process. Afterwards, the plant material goes through a special preparation and extraction process, during which both the water-soluble contents and the alcohol-soluble compounds are extracted from the plant and reduced to an extremely strong extract. This extract is liquid and is called He Shou Wu Drops. This Chinese herbal formula is of the highest quality in the world.

He Shou WuPrepared root of Polygonum multiflorum

He Shou Wu is the Chinese name for the prepared root of the plant Polygonum multiflorum. This plant grows in the mountains of central and southern China. In English, the plant is also called multiflorous pig grass. In Chinese herbalism, the plant is seen as a Jing (essence) tonic. Together with goji berry, it even forms one of the most important Chinese herbal remedies to support Jing (essence). The name He Shou Wu literally means old black hair. He Shou Wu has been used for many years. The plant appears in many traditional stories from China. Read here The most famous one from the year 800.

For herbal remedies, the root is always used. It is important that it is prepared in the right way. The correct preparation of the root is important for internal use. Unprepared, the root contains only limited reinforcing effects and can even cause unintended side effects. Dragon Herbs prepares the root in the traditional way. The freshly harvested roots are cut and steamed in a ratio of 10:1 in black bean soup. After steaming, the roots are dried. The dried roots are the basis for this extract. The extract is also called a tincture and is known by the manufacturer Dragon Herbs under the name Dragon Drops.

Dragon drops: the very best herbal tinctures

All Dragon Drops formulations, which include these He Shou Wu Drops, are created through an extensive extraction process using both water and alcohol. The potent herbs used undergo two rounds of water extraction and one round of alcohol extraction. The extracts from these different rounds are then combined into one. The whole is evaporated to remove most of the extraction solvents (water and alcohol) from the extract. The volume of the herbal extract decreases by up to 95%. Dragon Drops tinctures therefore only consist of the essence of the extract of the 100% natural ingredient. Also, the best of both worlds is combined and the extract contains both water-soluble constituents and alcohol-soluble compounds.

Because of this production process, Dragon Drops contain substantially more substances than most competitors. Sometimes by more than 1500%. With normal tinctures, what is used in the extraction process in terms of solvents is also what is in the final product. In other words the ratio of solvents used during the extraction process and in the final product is about 1:1. In Dragon Drops this ratio is 20:1. For every millilitre of finished product approximately 20 millilitres of solvents are used.
