He Shou WuPrepared root of Polygonum multiflorum

In Chinese, He Shou Wu refers specifically to the prepared root of the plant Polygonum multiflorum. The correct preparation of the root is important for internal use. Unprepared, the root contains only limited reinforcing effects and may even cause unintended side effects. Dragon Herbs prepares the root in the traditional way. The freshly harvested roots are cut and steamed in a ratio of 10:1 in black bean soup. After steaming, the roots are dried and ground into a powder. This powder is the basis for the capsules of Dragon Herbs. No additives or chemicals are used!

Active substances in He Shou Wu of Dragon Herbs

The roots grow for 8 years in the mountains of China before they are collected for this product. They therefore have plenty of time to grow into mature specimens rich in active substances. This substance is similar to the better-known substance resveratrol. The other known active ingredients include quinones and flavonoids. This root also contains a high zinc content of about 42 milligrams per 100 grams.
