Nutrex Hawaii

Nutrex Hawaii was founded in 1990 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii by Dr. Gerald Cysewski. He is a great expert in microalgae and has one simple mission: to make the benefits of microalgae available to everyone in the best possible way. He succeeded! Nutrex is the only one who has succeeded in organically growing the superior Hawaiian strain of Spirulina without any form of herbicides, pesticides or other chemicals. All on the sunny coast of Hawaii.

Nutrex Hawaii: unique Spirulina

Located on the sunny Kona coast, the nursery welcomes Nutrex Hawaii more sunlight than any other coastal location. This allows the Spirulina Pacifica to grow continuously 12 months a year under the best conditions. Nutrex Hawaii is the only microalgae farm in a that prohibits the use of harmful pesticides and genetically modified organisms. This Spirulina Pacifica is therefore grown without the use of harmful pesticides and herbicides. In addition, it prevents land erosion and water pollution.

Grown with the best water

Nutrex's Sprirulina is grown with 100% drinking water. This water is collected from the pristine waters around Hawaii. Both the surface water and the deepest waters are used for cultivation. The water is then filtered through lava rock. This water and the method of production adds a high amount of trace minerals and elements to the Spirulina.
