It is 100% pure wild blueberry powder of the very highest quality. This is because the berries for this powder are sustainably wild-picked in the northern forests of Finland. The berries are harvested only when they are fully ripe. This powder is very rich in nutrients, including a high level of anthocyanin. It also has a delicious taste and is extremely versatile. Our Wild Blueberry Powder (also known in English as Wild Blueberry Powder) is made from the berries of the true Billberry, the Vaccinium myrtillus. This is a superior berry nutritionally compared to the "common" and cultivated blueberry. Our powder contains the pulp, seeds and skin of arctic wild blueberries. The powder is made by drying the berries at low temperature. Scientific research shows that blueberry is good for blood vessels and helps maintain normal vision*.
Blueberries are very rich in nutrients. They are an excellent source of vitamin C and many other vitamins, such as vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin K1. They also contain a significant amount of soluble fiber. The berries are also extremely rich in phytonutrients. These are naturally occurring plant compounds, such as the phenols ellagic acid and anthocyanin. This powder contains as much as 71.5mg of anthocyanin per daily dose. These compounds are responsible for the blue, indigo and red pigments, which give the berries their typical color. The dyes have also been extensively studied for their antioxidant properties. The antioxidant activity of a food can be determined in a laboratory by means of the ORAC value. The ORAC value of this product is very high at 65000 ± 4000µmol TE/100g.
