Description

Bilberry from Terranova contains powder of the blueberry (botanically: Vaccinium myrtillus). Blueberries are freeze-dried fresh for this purpose after harvest. Freeze-drying is also called lyophilization. By freezing at very low temperatures (-50 to -60 degrees Celsius) and low air pressure, the moisture content from the blueberries goes directly from ice to gas. This removes the water from the blueberries and minimizes damage to the product. The contents of the powder in these capsules are therefore virtually the same as those of fresh blueberries. The high quality blueberry powder is packed in a vegetable capsule and is free of any additives. It does not get any purer than this!
