Indium of The Health Factory consists of pure indium bound to sulphur (indium sulphate). This is dissolved in purified water. The product is completely pure, because it simply does not contain any more ingredients. Indium is a relatively unknown trace element. It is even the 7th rarest element on earth. Although little research is done on it and little is known about it, it is indeed an important trace element. You will find the trace element dissolved in water in the product Indium from The Health Factory. Each drop contains 3.4 mg. The Healthy Factory packages Indium in dark violet glass, which only allows infrared and ultraviolet (UVA) light to pass through. This gives the product a long shelf life and keeps it vitalised.
What exactly is Indium ?
The reason we pay so little attention to indium is probably because it is not soluble in water in its most common forms. As a result, this trace element is hardly found in plants and animals. However, research shows that we do indeed carry this trace element in our bodies. The Japanese scientist Yukawa found an average of between 0.01 and 0.07 micrograms of the substance in human connective tissue (source). Unfortunately, the supply appears to be almost depleted from about the age of 30 and we can no longer find it in our bodies. Incidentally, the indium sulphate used in this product is well soluble in water. The chemically determined solubility in water at 20 degrees Celsius is 539.2 grams per litre.
Background of Indium
The fact that we normally don't talk much about indium doesn't mean that science doesn't research it. The trace element was first discovered in 1863. Four years later, they were able to isolate the element. In the 1930s, it was first used as a homeopathic remedy. It wasn't until the 1960s that someone started to seriously research the substance. Doctor and toxicologist Dr. Schroeder did a lot of research into the trace element during this time. In the 1970s, Dr. Lyons continued the research. Based on his research, he wrote the book ' Indium , The Missing Trace Mineral'. In 2002, the second important book was published, written by Dr. Walker: ' Indium , The Age Reversing Trace Mineral'.
Indium is approved by the American FDA, but unfortunately it has not yet been assessed by the EFSA, the European regulatory body. It may therefore no longer be sold as a food supplement in Europe. It may of course be used externally.
