Wild Siberian Chaga

Wild Siberian Chaga from Dragon Herbs are capsules based on chaga extract. Chaga (botanical: Inonotus obliquus) is a much-prized mushroom (fungal body). About wild chaga

Chaga is a mushroom or rather a fungus. It is a slow growing parasite. It grows on deciduous trees. Damaged, dying and old, weakened birches are the most suitable breeding ground for the mushroom's spores. In Dutch, the mushroom is therefore also called birch weathervane. In the wild, chaga grows preferably in old birch forests. The mushroom is only found in the cold region of the Northern Hemisphere. For example, it grows in Russia (especially Siberia), the north of Europe, the north of the United States and in Canada.

The best quality chaga is also called the "superior grade". It is only found in areas with harsh winter conditions, where temperatures drop below -40 degrees Celsius. This superior grade chaga is collected in the vast forests of Russian Siberia. That is why the "superior grade" chaga is also called Siberian chaga. Ideal conditions exist in the prepolar, northern, central and Arctic Ural Mountains and in the Caucasus Mountains. Siberian Chaga contains a number of important active ingredients. It is a rich source of ß-glucans and polysaccharides. It also contains phenolic compounds, lanostriterpenoids and melanin, a pigment present and needed throughout the body.
